Deck2Deck.us: Fantasy Unlimited Hydroplane Racing

The 2012 H1 Unlimited hydroplane racing series begins on July 6th in Madison, and so does another season of fantasy hydroplane racing on Deck2Deck. If you’re new to the site: Deck2Deck is a web-based game that allows unlimited hydroplane fans the opportunity to play fantasy boat owner, just like fantasy baseball and football. Registration is easy and it’s free to play the game.

In addition to competing in the overall Deck2Deck standings, registered players can set up public and/or private leagues to compete among smaller groups of friends and fans.

Players pick one hydroplane per race for each H1 event in 2012. Choose wisely, as any given hydroplane may only be selected one time per season! Fantasy boat owners are awarded the national points earned over the course of the weekend by their selected boat. These points are tabulated automatically over the course of the season. The fantasy player with the highest point total at the end of the year is the winner! If you haven’t already, simply click the “create an account” link at the top of this page to get started.

Throughout the season, Deck2Deck will be posting scoring updates and bringing you exclusive news. We also post updates and news on the Deck2Deck Twitter feed, @d2dhydros, and on the Deck2Deck Facebook page. Competing at Deck2Deck is a great way to make the H1 Unlimited tour even more fun and exciting for fans.

Deck2Deck also offers its popular, free HydroBox Scorecard. This is a printable PDF to assist you with tracking the race weekend. It features the 2012 fleet pre-listed by boat ID number, as well as columns to track awarded points throughout a race weekend. Print one out and take it with you to the races or score while following the hydros at home. The HydroBox for the 2012 Madison Regatta will be posted soon!

When will the boats information be updated? Also, what kind of complexity could you add to this? When will we be able to place our picks?

We will also open the dashboard for the 2012 season at that time, which will allow you to make picks for Madison (and the whole 2012 season) as well as organize or update your league memberships.
