Following a great weekend of racing and a spectacular final heat, San Diego Bayfair 2012 is in the books. However, the results and points appear to be only penciled in the books for now: the U-6 Oh Boy! Oberto team, penalized in the final for a fuel flow violation, has filed an appeal of this penalty and the fuel flow monitoring equipment will be sent to a lab for independent review. Physically, Steve David won the Bill Muncey Cup; after penalties were assessed and the Miss Madison was disqualified, Jimmy Shane in the U-5 Graham Trucking was given first-place honors. Deck2Deck fantasy points are now posted but we will continue to monitor any future decisions by H1 officials.
