It turned out to be a spectacular Independence Day weekend for the 13,000 resident-owners of the U-1 Oh Boy! Oberto hydroplane team. Their thunderboat, chauffeured by veteran Steven David, went on to capture Madison’s hometown regatta in impressive fashion. The 1525 points garnered by the Oberto also went a long way toward pleasing approximately eighty Deck2Deck fantasy players with their opening race selection. The second place finish and 1370 fantasy points earned by the U-7 Graham Trucking provided 10 players with an impressive start to the season, while those fantasy players that chose the U-5 and U-96, normally very solid selections, are now faced with makeing up ground as those boats both sufered sub-par performances in Madison.
