Ranking the 2015 Fleet -- Podium Ready

HydroDan's Deck2Deck Racing Inc.

No. 3) U-96 – Ellstrom Racing
Driver: Jean Theoret, Quebec, Canada
Home Port: Ballard, WA
After a bad case of new boatitis following the launch of their new boat in 2014, Team Ellstrom’s off-season tuning lead by the skilled crew chief Mike “Boat Doctor” Hanson appeared to bear much speed and handling as exhibited during pre-season spring testing in Tri-Cities, WA. Veteran racer and hot shoe extraordinaire Jean Theoret will campaign the U-96 (1496) for the full circuit in 2015 following his return to the sport at the end of last season. The show of speed at Tri-Cities combined with the depth of knowledge and equipment that Camp Ellstrom possesses should bode well for the Team in 2015 despite losing the monetary support of the Marine Federation in Qatar.
HydroDan Says: Expect the Team to podium at least 3 times with a race win a good possibility. Will apply pressure on the 1 and 5 all season.

No. 4) U-9 – Jones Racing
Driver: Scott Liddycoat
Home Port: Kent, WA
Mike and Lori Jones’ great white race boat (92102.5) returns to action and appears to be as strong as ever following pre-season testing in Tri-Cities, WA. Out is Jon Zimmerman who has stepped away from the sport to focus on family; in is Scott Liddycoat of Monster Jam fame. Aside from one appearance last season in San Diego, Liddycoat’s last substantial seat time came in 2012 at the wheel of the U-88 Degree for Men where he finished 5th in the National Points deal. With the hard charging Liddycoat at the helm and an experienced and dedicated crew, the 9 once again appears poised to make some noise and challenge for podium finishes.
HydroDan says: Will consistently be in final heats and on or near the podium.
