After an exciting start to the 2024 season in which the U-91 Goodman Real Estate and Andrew Tate flexed their muscle and captured two race wins, the fleet heads west to the great state of Washington for the Tri-Cities Water Follies Apollo Columbia Cup. With the additions of the U-21 Lakeridge Paving and U-12 Graham Trucking the fleet will feature 8 unlimited hydroplanes and one of the largest fleets of the previous couple years. You may recall at last year’s Columbia Cup that Tate, Runne, and Kelly all jumped the gun in the final heat, thereby taking three top contenders out of the race. This year with the new H1 starting procedure that scenario will not repeat itself, and we are excited to see what will transpire on the water at the Columbia.

Golden Boy: Tate is two for two on the season and appears to have the boat and the capability to run the table.
Caffeine Powered: The U11 Miss Mercurys Coffee with Jamie Nilson at the controls has shown the ability to nab inside lanes at an impressive rate. Lets hope the boat shows a bit more speed out west to capitalize on position.
Defending Champ: Peabody won in TC in 2023. He also has won the race in 2021. Our hunch is that if Tate does not win the race the U9 will.
