How did you become a fan of the Unlimiteds?

I grew up in Madison so I was introduced to the sport at a very early age by my Dad. I am far from what would be considered a “gearhead” but I love the innovation, skill, and especially the culture that is involved in Unlimited racing.

What are some of your favorite boats and/or personalities of the sport and why?

Well obviously Oh Boy! Oberto/Miss Madison is my “home team”, and Steve David is my favorite driver not only for his role as the Miss Madison driver but for his role as an ambassador of the sport. Besides the home team I like to root for the Webster team, as I like to see their enthusiasm and dedication to the sport. I also like to see the PPE team (U-5, U-7, U-57) do well since they’re the “other” Indiana team.

What do you enjoy most about playing Deck2Deck?

It’s fun, quick, and simple but still requires strategy.

What are your hopes for the H1 series in the future?

I’m really happy with all of the developments happening with H1 within the last year or so. I hope to see a couple more international races to support the Qatar race, as well as at least one race on the US East coast.

Any other comments, plugs, challenges to other players etc.?

I have started a Hydro-based blog for people to reminisce about their personal hydroplane experiences as well as comment on the current happenings around the sport. Please check it out at www.thunderthebridge.blogspot.com Thank you!
